"Why are you called Tobbedoodle?"

During one of my exhibitions in New York, a gallery owner had difficulty pronouncing my name.

- I simply call you TobbeDoodle, she said and that's the way it is.

I´ve always had a great need to express myself. Especially in art.In the 80s, I came to New York for the first time. I’ll never forget that moment. I decided back then that this would be my main source of inspiration that I would frequently return to. I love the people, the pulse and environments. The city does a lot for my creativity and I love the variety of pop and street art found here.

Being predictable is not my thing. I´m driven to change, evolve and surprise. I find new angles and new dimensions by taking apart the logical and then put it back together again, in a new shape. In this way, I comment and associate events and phenomena linked to our time.
